It’s Jim from Incendiary Tattoos. First of all, I’d like to thank you for your support. What you have done for the tattoo community is fabulous. This is such a great way for artists to get their work out there, plus the Daily Blog is awesome. I love your page!! Here are some more tattoos I’ve had the great pleasure doing! I hope you enjoy them. Thanx again for all of the work you do to get great art put out to the world. Cheers.
I only discovered your blog several weeks ago but have since become a daily follower. So many of the blogs out there seem to be hit or miss with regards to updates or topics of interest but yours has become a staple of my day. Thank you for that! (Of course, the Friday pinup ain’t bad either!)
I wanted to share a photo(s) of my latest tattoo addition. It’s a Henning Jorgensen design but the work is done by Alfie Lamberger.of Marks of the Spark Tattoos in Frederick Maryland. It’s not quite done as we still have a touch more white to do in the stripes/chest and green for the eyes. There’s also a Daruma hiding on the underside of my arm left to color. Completion is slated for later this month.
I always enjoy seeing the great work that lesser known one man shops are turning out. Too often the big name players get all the cred while the smaller shops operating in the small towns can all too easily go unnoticed.
P.S. You certainly live in a beautiful area. My brother lives in Corvallis and each time I’ve visited, I’ve been tempted to relocate from the east coast and join him in Oregon.
First of all, let me wish you a happy new year. Also, thank you so much for the Christmas card. I love your blog but I don’t sit and go through it as often as I should. I’ve noticed that the Skin&Ink magazine has gone down hill, since you are no longer there. Just as we had predicted. Sorry that I haven’t been in touch more lately. I have been juggling a number of things including a pursuit in painting. I have attached a few of new pictures from the tattoos that I have been working on, as well as a pdf file of a recent ad (featuring your wife Mary’s backpiece) that ran in the Stranger here in Seattle. I will be making more of an effort to stay in touch and keep you updated with what I’m up to. I have been teaching myself to paint and it is a lot of fun but my time management is always a challenge. I will send you more pictures soon including a painting that I’ve been working on.
Best wishes, Vyvyn (Madame Lazonga’s Tattoo, Seattle, Washington) Note: Click images to enlarge.
This is a collaboration by Josh Dobbs and Ian Preeper, done this week. Josh is responsible for the design and the black-and-gray work. Ian did the color in the flower. This piece was a lot of fun and we look forward do doing more collaborations in the future.
