Huffington Post, July 6, 2010

“The San Jose Mercury reports that the tattoo industry is thriving, as the art becomes more culturally accepted and prevalent on television, in books and in malls. Costing anywhere from $50-200 per tat, inkers are cashing in on the desire to leave indelible marks.

“The article cites a 2007 Pew Research Center study that found 40 percent of Gen X-ers (those born between 1966-80) have tatoos, while FDA estimates that nearly 15% of the entire US population has one.”

The entire list of “thriving” industries includes:

  4. Fireworks
  5. iPhones
  6. Pet Pampering
  7. Tattoos
